Extreme Fishing Concepts' Bass Boat Rod Holder Base & Top Mount Rod Holder Base These devices allow any fishermen to mount rod holders or other accessories to their existing bass boat cleats. The two main benefits to these bases are that it is quick to attach/release and it is done without drilling holes or scratching your boat. Frequently Asked Questions

1. How strong are these bases and how well do they hold onto the boat?

The bases are made of all metal for extra strength and holding power. They will hold anything that your boat's rope cleats will hold. Rope cleats on boats are designed to hold under pressure and are well anchored.

2. Will these bases fit my boat?

The BB-1 (Bass Boat) model is designed to fit boats with the rope cleats on the inside of the boat's gunwale. The cleat can be recessed into the gunwale or simply attached to the side of the gunwale. This includes most Stratos, Javelin, Triton, Ranger, Shadow, Bullet, and Nitro boats.
The TM-1 (Top Mount) model is designed to fit boats that have the rope cleats on top of the boat's gunwale. It will fit most of the cleats on the market with the exception of some of the wider plastic models. The hook will not go around these wider cleats. We are currently working on a model that will accommodate these cleats.

3. What devices can I use with these bases?

Our bases are drilled and threaded for a standard ½ inch 13 bolt. Any devices or rod holder with a ½ inch standard male thread will work with our bases.
